The Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter fundraising events are remarkable!

Our annual Georgia Barbecue Classic (for the Shelter) event has become a sanctioned KCBS event and continues to grow every year (with proceeds benefiting the Shelter!). Since 1996, the "Our Hearts, Their Harbor" Gala event has been a local favorite - a fabulous affair with an auction and dinner at the Cartersville Country Club! In December, the Young Artists' Concert showcases the musical talents of some amazing singers - enjoyed by those of all ages!

A Brief History of Events

Since 1996
The "Our Hearts, Their Harbor" annual gala began in 1996. In 2006, the event celebrated it's 10th year and raised $38,000 for program funds.
Since 2004
In 2004, the first annual "Georgia Barbecue Classic " BBQ cookoff event was launched. In 2006, this event doubled in size! This major fundraising even is growing again and is now a KCBS sanctioned event!
Since 2000
The Young Artists' Concert has become an annual event to look forward to!
