About Us
Our Mission Statement
The mission of The Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter is to provide men, women, and families with temporary shelter and physical, emotional and spiritual support. A caring staff and volunteers will assist the guests with developing and priori zing goals for their return to the community as productive members.
about the shelter
Since February 2, 1996, the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter has been serving to provide those in need with temporary shelter, food and clothing to those in need. In addition to helping provide basic needs, our shelter requires its guests to meet our guidelines and comply with all house rules. Guests are required to obtain employment within two weeks of entering the shelter so when they exit, they are capable of living independently.
The Shelter, through our goals program, provides guests an opportunity to address several of the issues that lead to being homeless and facilitates a return to self-sufficiency.
